At Almost There: A Mom and Pups Rescue, our mission is to save mama dogs and pups, provide care and enrichment, and find loving, forever homes. Almost There Rescue specializes in pregnant and nursing dogs and pups who need time and space to grow and become socialized. Our dogs experience a significant amount of socialization through our specialized programs while in our care. As soon as they are born and until they leave our care, our pups participate in age-appropriate enrichment activities to help with their socialization and overall development into well-adjusted furry family members. Our mama dogs also work with on site behaviorists who develop personalized programs to prepare them for life as your new best friend. All of our dogs are altered, micro-chipped, and up-to-date on vaccines prior to adoption. Our vision is an Arizona with more rescue advocates and no more homeless dogs. Our values include compassion, advocacy, dedication, community, collaboration and kindness.

Desert Labrador Retriever Rescue (DLRR) is a non-profit, all volunteer organization dedicated to finding loving, life-long homes for displaced Labrador Retrievers. The rescue provides medical care and/or rehabilitation for DLRR dogs and then matches them with appropriate, permanent homes. We also provide Labrador Retriever breed and training information on request. Through public education, we strive to help eliminate animal overpopulation by requiring the spaying and neutering of pets. DLRR takes in dogs from the pound, other animal shelters, strays and from owners who no longer want them or are unable to provide them with a home. Once we intake the dog, we provide vaccinations, spay/neuter, microchip and any other medical care the dog needs, as well as behavioral assessment if required. Typically, the dog is placed in a foster home; however, there may be occasions that the dog will be placed in an approved boarding kennel to decompress for a couple of days before going into foster care. The foster home provides temporary care for the dog until a new family adopts him or her. The foster home also evaluates the dog’s temperament and behavior, so that we can find just the right family for each dog. 2025 marks 26 years of DLRR rescuing Labs. We have rescued over 6,000 Labrador Retrievers since 1999.

Our mission at Forever Loved Pet Sanctuary (FLPS) is to help overlooked senior dogs in Arizona find their forever homes. We’ve been rescuing and adopting out senior pups since 2012, and the success stories are powerful. Dogs who were abandoned or tossed out as strays are incredibly resilient — they simply want a place to call home and people to love. Older dogs make loving, loyal, wonderful companions.

At HARTT, our mission began with boots-on-the-ground efforts to humanely trap, and rescue lost, stray, and injured animals—often the ones no one else could catch. What started as a focused response to animals in immediate danger has grown into something much larger and urgently needed. As Arizona’s animal overpopulation crisis has deepened, so too has our role. More and more often, the animals we trap have nowhere safe to go. In response, HARTT has expanded its operations to include a growing shelter program dedicated to providing stability, medical care, and loving placement for some of the state’s most vulnerable pets. We remain true to our roots in field rescue, but today, our work stretches from alleyways to adoption events—because saving lives doesn’t stop at the trap.

Love Connection Dog Rescue is a foster-based nonprofit saving dogs of all ages, sizes, and breeds across Arizona. With the help of our amazing fosters, we give pups a safe place to land until they find their forever family. Every dog deserves their perfect love connection—and that’s our mission!
