Green Heart Rescue’s mission is to provide safe, loving homes for senior dogs, dogs with special needs, and dogs deemed as hospice due to medical reasons. Our focus is to improve their quality of life through integrating a holistic approach with proper medical care for every senior dog we rescue. By the time most senior dogs have entered our rescue, their health has started to decline. Our goal is to ensure that all of our dogs experience love, comfort, peace, and proper nutrition. Shortly after intake, our dogs are treated for medical care, which helps us determine whether they’ll be adoptable, or be a permanent part of our sanctuary. Any dog that is considered hospice stays with us for the rest of their lives.

Northern Star Dog Rescue is a foster based 501C3 nonprofit organization that provides opportunities for dogs at shelters who are on euthanasia lists or that are homeless to be rescued and placed in foster homes until permanent homes can be found.
Our amazing team of volunteers at Northern Star Dog Rescue are committed to helping rescued dogs in our community find permanent homes. We do not get paid for this, we all have families, we all have jobs too but all of us volunteer our extra time to save as many dogs as possible!
We focus on saving as many dogs as we can but we are limited to the amount of fosters who are willing to take a dog into their home temporarily until we find the dog(s) a permanent home. Do you want to foster a dog? We do our best to find a good match for our fosters. It is such a rewarding and gratifying act of kindness. Contact us to find out how you could help us save more dogs!

Operation Community Cats is a 501(c)(3) serving the Treasure Valley to reduce feral and unowned cat overpopulation by funding and coordinating high-quality spay/neuter clinics, loaning humane traps, and empowering colony caregivers with training and resources.
Operation Community Cats envisions a Treasure Valley where every unowned cat is humanely managed, healthy, and no longer contributes to preventable overpopulation.

The Pet Adoption League of Gem County (PAL) legally known as the Pound Animal League of Gem County has been serving the dogs, cats and pet owners of Gem County for well over 20 years. It started as a small group of individuals fostering pets in their homes until permanent homes could be found. PAL has grown over the years and is a registered 501(c)3 Not-for-Profit charitable organization that has a fully-owned facility to house a limited number of dogs and cats until they can be placed in “forever homes”. PAL has always been a no-kill facility staffed primarily by volunteers. PAL has expanded to include outreach services to the pet owners and the City of Emmett and to the stray dogs and cats of Gem County. PAL has always maintained the overriding goal of providing a safe and loving environment for the dogs and cats of Gem County until they can be placed in loving, forever homes.
MISSION STATEMENT
Our mission is to return lost cats and dogs to their owners, and finding loving homes for those that have no home. We promote the compassionate care and treatment of animals everywhere. We work to accomplish this through our core values:
Compassion and aid to all animals, by providing care and shelter to those cats and dogs needing loving homes.
Community support for those who have pets or wish to have a loving pet. This includes helping those in the community who may have to give up their pets. We work to provide assistance to those in need, with the objective of keeping pets with their families. We run a Community Pet Food Pantry, providing pet food for those who need assistance. We also offer a spay/neuter program for feral
cats in the community.

As Boise’s premier cageless, no-kill, feline adoption center, we are dedicated to saving cats from suffering or euthanasia by practicing and promoting high standards of care and creating successful adoptions.
As a recognized and respected leader of no-kill cat rescue and adoption, we pride ourselves on the exceptional level of medical care we provide to all cats in our care, especially those in critical need. Our adoption process is about building lasting connections—not just placing cats, but assisting adopters in finding a companion who fits their lifestyle. We are passionate about educating on responsible cat ownership, and providing support to our adopters to ensure a smooth transition into their new life. We rely heavily on donations to continue providing lifesaving medical care, food, and shelter to vulnerable cats and kittens in our community.
